Ty Dolla $ign – Free TC: Album Review

Free TC? That’s Ty’s little brother who’s locked up.

To be completely honest, I do really like Ty $ but I wasn’t heavily excited about his album coming out till I saw somebody tweet that it was solid and a few tunes were fire. He was right. I’m already diggin’ his singles including Sitting Pretty (ft. Wiz Khalifa), Only Right (ft. YG, Joe Moses & TeeCee4800), Blasé (ft. Future & Rae Sremmurd) and Saved (ft. E-40) which are killing it on the radio right now. Ty $ is raw, his content is anyway, but the man has soul which is why this is a great R&B album – a bit different to his previous ones.

Free TC is filled with collaborations, in-fact I’m sure there are only two songs on the entire track list without a feature. He really brought out the guns with this one, I’m talking the artists mentioned above alongside Jagged Edge, Babyface, Trey Songz, Sevyn Streeter, Kanye West and Fetty Wap to name more than a few! I aint complaining though because I’m really enjoying it, the funny thing is – when you actually deep the lyrics to some of these songs, you’ll be like wtf (sex & disrespect) but because he’s created them so damn smooth – you let the words slide. Some of my favourites are Horses In The Stable, Credit, Miracles and When I See You.

It’s worth a listen, he’s added a mix of gangster hip-hop, a lil pop but most def that good R&B. 8/10

Justin Bieber – Purpose: Album Review

Alright so I have to admit, I’m guilty of catching the Bieber fever and I’m not even sorry (hah get it?). I’ve given credit to the the guy since his last R&B influenced album Journals which was released last year where you could tell he definitely grew up and sounded more mature. Sometimes I can’t even believe he’s younger than me, I still bump to All That Matters and Recovery – plus a couple others to this day.

Although if we go back to this album – it’s different but I like it, I think it’s appropriate to say that it has BANGERS. Earlier in the year we heard Where Are You Now (prod by Skrillex & Diplo) he surprisingly tried something new – dance music and it actually worked. Following that, hit singles What Do You Mean and Sorry were released and they were similar.

I didn’t know I was in for a treat whilst listening to Purpose (Deluxe) . There’s a variety making it a good album, constructing sounds for every mood for a wide audience. The club hits and the slow jams. He brought on a couple hip-hop artists to feature including No Pressure (ft. Big Sean), No Sense (ft. Travis Scott) and We Are (ft. Nas) plus our UK’s finest Ed Sheeran decided to hop on Love Yourself.

You might not dig the whole album but if you haven’t at least heard some of these tunes already then you should.

Tinashe ft. Chris Brown – Player [New Video Alert]

Stop what you’re doing. Honestly, just stop. Hold back some composure and watch the following music video for Tinashe ft. Chris Brown – Player. I knew it would be dope because I love them both, super hot and amazing dancers. Although, you don’t really see Breezy dance as much (slightly disappointing) BUT Tinashe slays and them two getting steamy together = sexy af. Oh yeah and the song is pretty good too.

This girl really has been working and hustlin’ out here. I mean two more videos released?! Have a look below. I love both songs at the moment.
